Hey everyone..(or shall I say “Hi” to the one person that may read this blog.) Oh my, let me warn everyone now, I am in a mood today! Sorry I have not blogged recently. It’s not that there is not much to say, actually there is tons to say! We have had 2 bridal showers and a joint Bachelor/Bachelorette party. We have had so much fun during this time with family and friends! We are so ready for the wedding!
In 16 short days, I am walking down the aisle and becoming Mrs. Patrick Jobe. I will become the wife to the man of my dreams. The boy I first met at Tom Thumb in 1992 when we both worked there, the boy who’s friend I dated but we did not like each other so when we broke up Patrick asked his friend if he could ask me out. This same boy soon stole my heart in High School. He was a Senior and I was a Sophomore. He was my high school sweetheart. We were inseperable back then too! This boy left after High School and went into the Army in Alabama. We had a long distance relationship for a year and a half (through my senior year). And this was the same boys’s heart I broke 3 short months later when I went off to college. He had bought me an engagement ring when we were still together and never gave it to me. He showed it to me on prom night, but never proposed. Below is a prom picture of us from us at my prom in 1994. He flew in from the Army to go with me. This would be the last time I would see him until February 2009.

With God’s will for us, we were brought back together after 16 years. After finding each other again, I knew the minute I laid eyes on him for the 1st time again, that this was it. This is where I am and was supposed to be a long time ago. But our lives took us both on different paths, but God led us back together because we are meant to be. I think God makes that one special person for everyone; the one that is meant to be “their other half.” The one person that you are supposed to live through this world with. The one for me is Patrick. We just fit together—in more ways than one. I am just honored he accepted me back into his life. I know that this man is the man I will spend the rest of my days with. I will grow old with this man (on a light note, I am so excited to see us in 40 years all old and crusty and farty and stuff...we will be a hoot!)
I will be his partner for the rest of our times here in this world. I am privileged and honored to get to be his wife.
AND the biggest thing of all- did ya’ll hear me above???... I said I am going to be a WIFE! THAT’S HUGE! In 16 days, I will be experiencing the day I have dreamed of since I was a little girl!! It’s not just the wedding day stuff and all the hoopla that goes with it that is the biggest thing for me. It’s the fact that I am getting to marry a man that I adore, cherish, respect and love with all my heart and soul; the man of my dreams! I get to be his wife. I take this commitment with my whole heart and will do every thing in my power be the best wife I can possibly be to him, because he deserves it. All people who know me, know I have my quirks but Patrick accepts each and every quirk I have. When I think of being with Patrick, I feel that this is right…that he is literally part of me. That even though we are not officially “married” that our hearts are already intertwined into one. I have never loved anyone or felt loved by anyone like I do with Patrick. It’s amazing. It’s a blessing. It’s a GREAT life!
